Description

At the base of the Eastern Sierra, the Carson and Walker rivers of Douglas County are fed by melting seasonal snowmelt –bringing life back to the floodplain each spring. Climate change will likely affect the timing of this snowmelt, altering the rivers and livelihoods of those who depend on them.

Taken during field visit at master's thesis project site in March 2018. Increased saturation to highlight vibrant colors and contrast of the surrounding watershed.
