Description

The deadman's foot (Pisolithus arhizus) develops underground and breaks the surface as brownish-black contorted mushroom, resembling a poorly buried corpse. It degrades into a pile of spores that disperse into the world looking for their own happy place to germinate and carry on the life cycle.
