Like in the biblical account of David and Goliath, this nanopatterned Shield of David help in "beating" the contact resistance of the strong Gallium Nitride (GaN) semiconductor. The Star of David's corners (Ni/Au) are about 100 nanometers in size, made by colloidal lithography.
