Drop cast films are made by placing a drop of solution on a substrate and allowing it to dry. Instead of drying into a smooth film, this drop casting attempt created a cracked film of glassy organic semiconductor and Oil Red O dye. Under the microscope, a complex array of cracks is revealed.
