Polymer crystals when seen under a Polarized Optical Microscope give beautiful colors and the characteristic Maltese Cross.
The colors are usually uniform across one film, but when I stumbled upon this 4-5 month old film and looked at it, it had completely transformed due to secondary crystallization! New colors covering a wide range of the spectrum along with the Maltese Cross made it look more like a 15th century stained glass window in a Gothic church.
