This is an image of a hardened polymer film in a nanoimprinting attempt. Interestingly, the randomly flowed polymer produced fractal patterns resembling the UCSB beach's abundant ocean kelp. What's even better? It's literally 'on a chip!', just like UCSB's world leading 'lab-on-a-chip' researches.
