Novel Electronic Devices and Computing SystemsDescription
A collage of two images - one in focus, one out of focus - taken with the optical microscope in the dark field mode. The sample imaged shows the first fabrication step - lithography on Si wafer - for memristive crossbars. Memristors integrated in crossbars have the potential to revolutionize the current computation technology, by allowing for an efficient hardware implementation of artificial neural networks. These memristor-based neural networks would be capable of massive parallel and ultra fast processing of information and advanced learning.
