The image shows the inside architecture of a dilution refrigerator when opened up (hence not cold). The plates of the cryostat that can be seen are all plated with REAL GOLD! because gold is excellent at reflecting heat radiation that helps the fridge cool down to temperatures as low as 10 milli kelvin! which is extremely close to absolute zero.
